How it runs
- The query set and the town list are agreed once. Repair and replacement are kept apart, and so are the material questions - asphalt shingle, metal roof, tile, flat commercial systems - because a contractor named for shingle replacement is routinely absent for metal and never finds out.
- Everything is re-run monthly on the same surface, at roughly the same point in the month.
- After a significant hail or wind event in your service area we re-run early, out of schedule, because that is the week the named set moves.
- Competitors are re-read alongside you, and any contractor that appears in an answer for the first time is added - including the out-of-area ones that arrive with a surge.
- You get a diff: who entered, who left, what changed in the sentence about you.

What this does not do
We cannot say why an answer changed. We can say that it changed, when, and what is different on the pages involved.
The first two readings are a baseline, not a trend, and the file labels them as such rather than reporting normal variation as movement.

How do you know a storm happened in our area?

Is monthly often enough for this category?

Does this replace our reputation monitoring?
No, and it does not overlap much. Reputation tools watch what people write about you. This watches what a machine says about you when a homeowner asks for a roofer - which draws on reviews but is not the same thing, and can move while your review score sits still.
